"RIVERBOAT GAMBLER" er en melodiøs medium-rocker, påvirket av den tids Bruce Springsteen så vel som Jackson Browne. Bjørn Kristiansen og Eigil Berg deler mye av vokalen på denne hvor også Asle Nilsen hjelper til på kor innimellom. En stakkato låt som i NJS' sceneversjon ga større spillerom for Bjørns gitarer enn plateversjonen. En typisk "sørstat-romantisk" tekst.
