"MAMA'S GOT THE BLUES" gikk helt til topps på Europatoppen i juli 1979. En enkel og røff rock'n'roll-låt med klare undertoner av Chuck Berry, i særdeleshet i Svein Finjarns gitarkor. Bjørn Kristiansen krydrer og fargelegger stemningen med sitt "blues munnspill" - 4 år før han skulle bli gitarist i NJS. "MAMA'S GOT THE BLUES" er en av de få NJS-originaler som har holdt seg på scenerepertoaret opp gjennom alle senere NJS-besetninger.
