"HIGHWAY 9" er Ivar Hovdens bidrag til "10" både som låtskriver og som vokalist. "HIGHWAY 9" er en typisk "sommermelodi" med Håkon Vellesviks klare falsett-stemme, fyldig kor og masse rytmiske finesser både fra gitarer og fra tangentinstrumenter. "HIGHWAY 9" var en favoritt blant NJS-Klubbens medlemmer og gjenstand for et utall oppfordringer.
