"THE GOLDEN DREAM" er "Songs For The Weekend"s mest "annerledes" bidrag, bygget opp rundt et barnerim med tekst av Mike Vernon og musikk av Einar "Wallen" Mjåland som også synger denne. Marsjtrommer og stakkato effekter, fullt mannskor og ubestemmelige lyder. Mye av dette ble til i studioet underveis. "The Golden Dream" kunne også ta uanede krumspring på scene da "Wallen" sang den med NJS "live". Mye av trommene på platen ble spilt av "Wallen" som må krediteres for en NJS-låt på sitt mest originale.
